What is manual review?
What happens during the ZealiD manual review?
After you complete the ZealiD mobile application registration, our Manual Vetting Team reviews your application to confirm your identity and verify the authenticity of your identity document. This review checks your liveness images, document security features, and public record databases before your registration is approved.
What does the Manual Vetting Team check?
During the review, our specialists perform the following checks:
- Compare the images captured during the liveness check against the holder photograph on your identity document to confirm a biometric match.
- Verify that your identity document displays all security features attributed to that specific document model, and that the recorded video pattern meets the instructions provided in the mobile application.
- Evaluate the overall condition and integrity of your identity document.
- Run additional checks on public record databases for documents registered as invalid, lost, or stolen.
Why does ZealiD conduct manual reviews?
Manual reviews are conducted to prevent fraud, confirm that the verified identity belongs to the applicant, and detect any attempt to misuse or impersonate another person's identity.
